On Wednesday, we ate at the Clubhouse Bar and Grill, next door to the SpiritBank Event Center, since we were attending the Jason Mraz concert. My first impressions were "Wow." The inside of the restaurant was beautiful. Very contemporary and chic. It looked like it was an expensive restaurant, but the price of the food didn't reflect that at all. The food was priced very reasonably. The pricing wasn't anything different to the price of food at Chili's. Unfortunately, we never technically ate at the Clubhouse. We definitely tried to eat at the restaurant though. Let's just say we arrived at 6:00 p.m., tried to order food and drinks around 6:30 p.m. (no one seemed to be serving us), finally ordered everything around 6:45 p.m. and we were still waiting for our food and some of our drinks come 7:20 p.m. (the concert started at 7:30 p.m.). Needless to say, I had some steam coming out of my ears. To cut a long story short, I talked to the service manager and he said that our food wasn't going to be out for at least another 40 minutes! So, we decided to leave and eat at another establishment instead. Our drinks ended up being on the house and we were each given a free appetizer card, but the Clubhouse has some serious staffing issues. On a big concert night, make sure you have enough staff and everyone is on top of their game!
After we left the Clubhouse, we needed to eat somewhere quick, so we ate at Chick-Fil-A instead. It wasn't what we had in mind at the beginning of the evening, but the service was extremely quick! We ordered and were given our food within five minutes! I had the chicken caesar wrap and it was delicious. Way to go, Chick-Fil-A.
