Trip to St. Louis

This past weekend, we went to St. Louis for the weekend to see a Cardinals game. We received tickets to one of the suites at Busch Stadium, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Even though the Cardinals lost against the Colorado Rockies, 7-2, we had fun at the game with family and friends. Here are some pictures from the festivities.

Recap: Girl's Trip to Dallas

**This post is way past due. Sorry for the delay.**

As you know, Lindsay, Jenn, Abby, Leslie and I took a trip down to Dallas the weekend before last to see No Doubt. The trip was a blast! We ate at Pappasitos, saw an AMAZING concert and shopped till we dropped. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Hump Day Dinner #62: Albert G's BBQ

This evening, we went to Albert G's BBQ for our hump day dinner. This seventeen year old hole-in-the-wall restaurant, which is very popular with the city police, is located at 27th and Harvard. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to eat there because they ran out of chicken, but the rest of the crew loved their food. They said that it was much better than Billy Sims. You can purchase sandwiches, platters of food, as well as order meat by the pound. The sandwiches and platters of food are served directly on a serving tray...no plates...and the meat by the pound are served in paper dishes, so you get to eat family style. Originally, the restaurant was an old mechanic shop, but they have converted the awning into a covered patio, the actual garage section of the mechanic shop is an inside seating area and the waiting area is now the kitchen/cash register. Overall, Albert G's is really a very nice, casual establishment and is probably one of the best BBQ places in Tulsa.

Hump Day Dinner #60: Marco's Pizza

Two weeks ago, we ate at Marco's Pizza, which is a fairly new pizza place at 81st and Garnett. The place is fairly small (used mainly for carry out orders), but the staff is friendly and accommodating and the food is really good. The best part of the visit is that the delicious food is very inexpensive. Andrew and I had a small pizza each and we ordered a couple orders of the cinnamon sticks for the group and paid less than $20. If we lived around the 81st and Garnett area, we would definitely be eating there on a regular basis.

92. Try Five New Recipes

A few weeks, Andrew and I tried a new recipe for homemade potato chips. They were delicious and easy to make, but unfortunately they just took a LONG time to make. Here's how we made the chips...

1. Use a mandolin food slicer to cut the potatoes. 

2. Once you've cut the potatoes into thin slices, place the potato slices into a bowl of water. This keeps the potatoes moist. 

3. When you're ready to cook the potato chips, lay out the slices onto a paper towel to dry them off. Then, place them in a fryer until they are golden brown.  

4. Sprinkle them with some kosher salt. Voila! Homemade potato chips :).

Girl's Trip to Dallas

Tomorrow morning, I'm off to Dallas with Jenn, Lindsay, Abby and Leslie for a Girl's Trip. We're going to go to the No Doubt concert, eat some yummy Mexican food and do some retail therapy. I can't wait. Lots of pictures to come on Sunday.
