92. Try Five New Recipes

This past weekend I tried three new recipes, fruit salsa, homemade cinnamon chips and chocolate fondue. All of the recipes were super easy to make and they ended up being very yummy. They are perfect recipes for a shower, party, get-together, etc.

Fruit Salsa
** The best thing about this salsa is that you can use any combination of fruits.

Ingredients
- 2 bags of Wal-Mart's Frozen Mixed Berry Medley (The bag contains frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries)
- 2 gala apples - peeled, cored and diced
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons fruit preserves, any flavor - I chose strawberry.

Directions
1. In a blender, chop up the frozen berries. After the berries have been chopped, put the mixture into a large bowl.
2. In the large bowl, thoroughly mix the chopped frozen berries, gala apples, white sugar, brown sugar and fruit preserves. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.

Baked Cinnamon Chips
Ingredients
- 10 (10 inch) flour tortillas
- Butter flavored cooking spray
- Cinnamon sugar

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
2. Mix 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon onto a plate. You will end up dipping the tortillas into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
3. Spray one side of the tortilla and press the tortilla into the cinnamon sugar mixture. After you have done this, set the tortilla onto a separate plate. As you continue, you will place the tortillas on top of one another.
4. Cut the stack of tortillas like a pizza into eight slices.
5. Bake the tortilla wedges in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Repeat with any remaining tortilla wedges. Allow to cool for approximately 15 minutes.

Chocolate Fondue
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 bags of Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips
- 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract

Directions
1. In a fondue pot, bring the heavy whipping cream to a boil.
2. Lower the pot temperature and gradually add chocolate chips and stir gently, but constantly until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
3. Add vanilla extract and stir it in.
4. Use a fondue fork to spear fruit, then dip it in the chocolate. Enjoy!

Only two more to go. Bon Appetite!

Hey Greg! Yeah, most definitely. I would just buy a package of the frozen mixed berries.
